Position
Description: This position will coordinate and implement all aspects of the Land
Conservation Incentives Act tax credit program by assisting applicants,
reviewing applications, obtaining appraisal reviews, preparing hearings of the
Natural Lands Protection Committee, developing forms and guidelines, and
keeping program records. Provides assistance to the manager
of the Forest Legacy Program and Natural Lands Protection Act with the acquisition
of forest conservation easements and ecologically unique lands by contracting
non-profit partners and completing other due diligence tasks for real estate
conveyance. Position requires strong organizational,
analytical skills, decision-making skills, effective writing skills and the
ability to work well with the public.
Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited
college or university in forest management, forest science, environmental
science, range science, biology, wildlife biology, natural resources, or land
use planning. Three years experience in
land conservation planning or land management or acquisition and protection of
land and conservation easements including one year of program management or
real estate transactions. Four additional years experience in these fields may
substitute for college degree.
