Content: This workshop will emphasize the basic requirements for conservation easement appraisals and the differences between USPAP, Yellow Book, and IRS requirements. The emphasis will be on NRCS appraisals, however, it will also include other aspects of the conservation easement program. The goal of the workshop is to make the contracting and appraisal process more efficient for all parties. Who can do appraisals? What is required in an appraisal? Date of value and duration of appraisal. Inspections by appraisers. Types of appraisals.
This course has been approved by the Colorado Board of Real Estate Appraisers for 6 hours of continuing education. It is also approved for continuing education in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Montana.
